mainMAN's Discography
I have been an emcee (not a rapper, don't get it twisted) since the sixth grade when I use to freestyle battle dudes in the bathroom for Debbie Cakes. Back then, my name was Jaylove. In high school, I teamed up with another emcee named Hitman Ice and we formed the Gangsta 2. We won all the talent shows, had hats and shirts but never recorded professionally. Ice and I both joined the military after school and he has changed his name to Smackola and is very successful in his music career.

I changed my name too. I became main or mainMAN which is short for my real name, Jermaine and also because I literally am everybody's mainman. I have a few haters but no enemies. I hooked up with my childhood friend JW after I retired from the Army. He is an incredible DJ/Producer who was building a studio at the time. I mean literally building the building. He and our other friends made a group up called the Dirty Dozen. We made hits, along with some outside affiliates. Unfortunately, JW or DJ Handz ran into some legal trouble and had to take a federal vacation. The Dirty Dozen remains friends to this day but at that time, musically, we disbanded.

In college, an emcee named Fluff boldly posted a lyrical challenge to any student and of course I accepted. The result was a supergroup of Freestyle Fanatical MC's who became better known as The Fanats. We did shows with the likes of Busta Rhymes and recorded two cassette albums once the smoke cleared. Being just as good at hustling as rhyming, our individual endeavors divided and eventually conquered our dreams of Hip-Hop supremacy.

As a solo artist, mainMAN made some worldclass music. Being a fan and constant collaborator with South Carolina's iLL Camp, it was only a matter of time before he became a member. Currently, mainMAN and his iLL Camp brethren are instituting their plans for multimedia mass production and world influence for the improvement of mankind. Enjoy.
